Privacy Policy for Papra Mobile

Papra Mobile ("the app") is provided by Papra Mobile ("we", "us", or "our").

Papra Mobile is an unofficial iOS client for Papra. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and what choices you have.

1. Summary

Papra Mobile is designed to help you connect to a Papra server, sign in, upload and manage documents, and use iOS features such as the Share Sheet, document scanning, photo selection, and Shortcuts.

We do not use advertising SDKs, do not sell personal information, and do not use the app for cross-app tracking.

Because Papra Mobile connects to a Papra server chosen by you, documents and account data managed through the app may also be processed and stored by that Papra server and, if applicable, its operator. That server's privacy practices are separate from this app's on-device behavior.

2. Information the App Handles

Depending on how you use the app, Papra Mobile may handle the following information:

Information you enter or configure

• Papra server URL
• selected organization or workspace
• optional custom headers
• backup API key
• sign-in email address
• session state such as your signed-in name and email address

Content you choose to upload or manage

• documents and files you upload
• files shared from other apps through the iOS Share Sheet
• photos you explicitly choose for upload
• scanned documents created using the camera scanner
• tags, metadata, document names, and related edits
• search queries used inside the app to find documents

Authentication data

• session cookies and related login state used to keep you signed in
• data returned by supported sign-in providers if you choose to sign in with them

Temporary local files

• temporary copies of scanned files, selected files, previews, and downloads created to support upload, preview, sharing, or export features

3. How the App Uses Information

Papra Mobile uses information only to provide app functionality, including to:

• connect to the Papra server you configure
• authenticate your session
• upload, download, preview, search, tag, rename, delete, restore, and organize documents
• support Share Sheet uploads and Shortcuts
• remember app settings and your selected organization
• support document scanning and photo-based uploads

4. Where Information Goes

Papra Mobile may transmit data to:

• the Papra server you configure in the app
• supported identity providers, if you choose to sign in with them
• Apple's iOS frameworks when you use system features such as the photo picker, camera-based document scanner, Share Sheet, or Shortcuts

We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs. We do not intentionally track you across other companies' apps or websites.

5. On-Device Storage

Papra Mobile stores some information locally on your device so the app can work properly. This may include:

• your configured server URL
• selected organization
• optional custom headers
• backup API key
• signed-in account state
• session cookies used for authentication
• queued files for Shortcuts or Share Sheet uploads
• temporary files used for previews, scans, uploads, or downloads

6. Permissions

• Camera: to scan documents
• Photos: to let you select photos for upload

7. Data Retention

• you sign out
• you disconnect the app
• you delete the app

8. Your Choices

• sign out
• remove the app

9. Security

No method is 100% secure.

10. Children's Privacy

Not intended for children under 13.
